[속보] ‘Shindang Station Stalking Murder’ Jeon Joo-hwan “I’m really sorry… I did crazy.”

Jeon Joo-hwan, 31, was handed over to the prosecution on the 21st, who murdered a station worker in the women’s restroom at Sindang Station on Seoul Subway Line 2.

The Seoul Central Police Station arrested Jeon Joo-hwan, who is charged with retaliatory murder under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (Special Price Act), to the prosecution at around 7:30 a.m. on the same day.

Jeon, who appeared in front of reporters without wearing a mask, said, “I’m really sorry. I did something really crazy.” He bowed his head. To the reporter’s question, “Is there anything you want to say to the bereaved family?”, he answered “I’m sorry.”

Jeon Joo-hwan is expected to be imprisoned in the Seoul Detention Center after undergoing a basic investigation by the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office.

Jeon Joo-hwan is suspected of chasing after a female station worker at the Seoul Transportation Corporation who had been stalking her on the 14th and murdered her with a knife in the women’s restroom at Sindang Station.
