Woo Sang-hyeok, the star of the men’s high jump, won a silver medal in the first game of this season.
Woo Sang-hyeok won the silver medal in 2m24 at the Asian Indoor Track and Field Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The gold medal went to Japan’s Akamatsu who jumped 2m28.
Woo Sang-hyeok said, “I prepared hard for the first tournament of the season, but there was a difference between preparing well and competing.
Ansan City Hall Jeong Yu-seon threw 16m98 in the women’s shot put final, winning the gold medal for the first time in Korean track and field history.
Iksan City Hall Yoo Gyu-min won the men’s triple jump bronze medal.
