Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, said at a press conference that day, the six areas that the government will promote to restore the dynamics of SMEs are ▲employment-friendly labor reform ▲strengthening cooperatives ▲establishing a culture of coexistence between large corporations and SMEs ▲promoting growth and investment of SMEs ▲advancing SME financial policies ▲ SME export promotion was suggested.
As detailed tasks for employment-friendly labor reform, the flexible 52-hour work week, the application of an 8-hour additional overtime system, and the abolition of the quota system (allocation) for foreign workers were proposed.

“However, from the standpoint of small and medium-sized businesses and small business owners, additional improvements are required to allow overtime work of up to 100 hours per month or up to 720 hours per year, as in Japan, when the workload is exploding.”
Following this, Chairman Kim emphasized the need to ▲improve the completeness of the delivery unit price linkage system and corporate succession support system ▲vitalize cooperatives as a growth platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as major pending issues.
