[영상M] “I only rode a baby car” The train departs…Mom runs to the next station

This is the CCTV of Jungnang Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line in Seoul at around 4:40 pm yesterday.

The mother pulls the baby car and heads towards the train.

When the train arrives and the doors open, passengers line up and get off.

As people passed through the narrow passage, the woman who waited for a long time finally pushed the baby car into the train 16 seconds after the door opened.

As I was about to get on the train with the infant car, the train door suddenly closed.

Even though only the infant car got on the train, the train left as it was.

A 17-month-old daughter was in the baby car, and the mother’s cell phone and wallet were also in the baby car.

The mother stomps her feet and doesn’t know what to do, and chases after her to catch the oncoming train.

When mother’s wrist got caught in the door, other passengers inside the train slammed the door to keep it from closing, but the train door never opened.

Mom was between the train and the screen door, which didn’t close at all.

Still, the train departed.

My mother left her cell phone and wallet in the baby car, and because she was a foreigner, she couldn’t help but panic more because she couldn’t speak Korean.

With the help of another passenger who saw this, the woman called her husband and ran out of the subway station and ran over 800 meters to the next station, Sangbong Station.

The next train arrived 16 minutes later, so I had no choice but to run.

Fortunately, the child in the infant car was with another female passenger at Sangbong Station.

The mother was able to meet the child safely.

The husband said that the mother of the child was anxious, saying, “I will not be able to ride the baby car and ride the train again because I am afraid.”

Also, an acquaintance said that the same thing happened at Ichon Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line in Seoul on December 11 last year, and that the engineer could check all the CCTVs, but he could leave without closing the screen door.

How did the train depart even though the screen door was open? KORAIL said, “It is judged to be a temporary sensor error of the elevator safety door (screen door), and the specific cause is being investigated.”

He also said, “There are cases where the elevator safety door sensor is exposed to external dust, etc., but this is the first time a stroller has been caught.”
