Brazil’s football emperor Pele, who is battling colon cancer, is said to have gathered at the hospital where he is hospitalized as his health has deteriorated recently.
Pele’s daughter, Kelly Nacimentu, posted on social media a photo of her bedridden father embracing, “We will continue to stand together in this fight by faith, just one more night together.”
Pele’s son, Edson Cholby Nacimentu, shared a photo of his father holding his hand.
The 82-year-old Pele was diagnosed with cancer in August last year and underwent surgery.
Citing comments from medical staff, a media outlet reported that Pele’s condition had deteriorated and chemotherapy was no longer effective.
