[정치]Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs – Cargo Solidarity Negotiations on the 28th… In the event of a breakdown, an order to start business will be issued

[앵커]

Amid transportation disruptions caused by the cargo union strike, the government and the cargo union decided to sit down and negotiate on the 28th of the day after tomorrow.

The government plans to demand an unconditional return, but if talks break down, it is expected to issue an order to resume work sooner or later.

In a situation where concerns about transportation disruptions are growing due to the cargo union strike, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong searched for companies that were expected to suffer damage and checked whether there were any problems.

From the construction site using cement, they repeatedly pressed the cargo union with a card to activate the order to start work, saying that the construction was in danger of being stopped.

[원희룡 / 국토교통부 장관 : 날짜는 아직 안 정해졌지만 언제든지 국무회의에서 의결하면 저희가 바로 발동할 수 있도록 실무 검토와 준비는 다 마쳐 놓은 상태입니다.]

The Cargo Solidarity and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, whose positions are still parallel, decided to sit down for the first time since the strike on Monday.

The official conversation has only been about 2 weeks since the last 15 days.

Although a discussion table has been set up, the prospects for negotiations are not bright as the cargo union, which demands the abolition of the safe freight rate sunset system and the expansion of items, and the government that they cannot accept it.

If there is no progress in negotiations and a strike continues, the government plans to take steps to order the start of work.

We are reviewing ways to selectively start with industries such as cement and ready-mixed concrete that are expected to suffer significant damage right away.

A high-ranking government official told YTN that it is unlikely that the agenda will be raised at the cabinet meeting on the 29th, as it is necessary to observe the negotiations and to prepare data to prove the damage.

However, he said that if the damage increases, a temporary cabinet meeting can be held even later in the week to make a decision.

However, the key is that the government must prove that the procedure to deliver this order to individual borrowers remains after the resolution, and that the damage caused by the refusal of transportation is serious.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also warned that it would find the perpetrators and take strict punishment for accidents in which stones flew and damaged trucks that were operating normally at Busan New Port.
