The total number of inhabitants in the country surpassed the mark of 203 million, representing an increase of more than 20 times in relation to the first census held in 1872. 1. São Paulo (SP)

With a drop of 3.17% compared to the 2010 census, Recife ranked ninth on the list of most populous cities, dropping from 1.5 million to 1.4 million in 2022.
10. Goiânia (GO)
