Since 2017, Drake and Josh have been in a lawsuit that left fans of their series very disappointed.
Recently, Josh decided to dust off said fight to set the record straight and give his side of the story. These are some things that he has revealed.
1. It all started when Josh didn’t invite Drake to his wedding and Drake complained online.
In 2017, Drake posted a series of Tweets complaining about not being invited to the wedding of his friend, Josh Peck, and film editor Paige O’Brien.
“When you are not invited to the wedding the message is clear… Today he showed his true face, the message is loud and clear. Ties have been officially severed. I will miss you bro,” Drake Bell wrote in a series of tweets that he later deleted.

2. A couple of months later they ran into each other at the VMA’s and posted this photo
The fight left fans very disappointed, however, this was short-lived, as a couple of months later, both had a reconciliation at the VMA’s.
They even recorded a couple of things together, so everyone thought that their fight was in the past.
3. Five years later, Drake gave his version of what really happened
Josh was invited to the “BFF Podcast”, where he told his version of what really happened during the fight.
“I didn’t invite him to my wedding and the internet went crazy,” Drake recalled of the 2017 episode.
4. “My wedding was small and I haven’t talked to Drake in 10 years.”
Josh recounted chronologically what happened between him and Drake on their wedding day.
“The big day came, I married my wife, and I married this beautiful Irish Catholic girl. We had a very small wedding.”
“I knew that Drake and I had not been in contact for 10 years. But no one needed to know that. Maybe that was our little secret.”
5. “In real life we were not so close”
Josh said that he never wanted to tell the world that he and Drake weren’t as close as they were on the show.
“I was happy to take the secret to my grave. We made this show that people loved, but in real life we weren’t that close and I didn’t want to ruin that illusion,” Josh said.

6. “I didn’t invite him to my wedding because I didn’t even talk to him.”
Josh explained that he never felt like he should invite Drake Bell to his wedding, because they didn’t have a close friendship.
“It’s true, I didn’t invite him to my wedding, because I didn’t even talk to him. It didn’t even cross my mind to invite him, they each went their separate ways after the show.”
7. Josh revealed that Drake sent him hurtful messages on their wedding night.
Josh revealed that the same night of his wedding he received hurtful messages from Drake.
“I had gotten married that night and all of a sudden I started getting several messages from Drake. He was hurtful and even cursed me for not inviting him.”

8. “Drake made a show on Twitter of something totally false”
The next day, Drake posted on Twitter how sad he was that he wasn’t invited to Josh’s wedding.
“Drake embarked on a ‘Media Tour,’ where he was complaining about how sad he was that he didn’t come. But that was totally false. The entire narrative he told was false.”
9. “My wife received hate mail on our wedding day.”
Josh recounted that he and his wife received hateful and even threatening messages over the whole situation.
“I received thousands of hate comments for Drake’s false statements. But I didn’t mind because I’m a public person, but my wife is very private. She did not deserve that and less on our wedding day ”
10. “I saw Drake at the VMA’s and threatened him to apologize to his wife.”
Josh also told what really happened at the VMA’s.
“I remember seeing him at the VMA’s and approaching him. I stared at him and did the most “Soprano” thing I’ve ever done: I told him ‘Go apologize to my wife or something bad will happen now’”.
“He apologized for 5 minutes to my wife,” Josh said.
11. Drake’s wife exploded and said that Josh is a liar
Upon hearing these statements, Drake’s wife called Josh a “piece of m… a liar.”
“Josh Peck is a total s… I stay quiet until the lies happen. And the fact is that I was there at the VMAs, I was next to Drake. I was the one who told Drake that Josh was coming[at us with the camera]. I was there, I heard everything. Drake was never threatened by Josh…it’s so funny. Josh, you’re not tough at all.”
