An 11-year-old boy was shot by a police officer. in Mississippi, United States, after calling 911 for an alleged episode of domestic violence.
According to the boy’s mother, Nakala Murry, an Indianola Police Department officer came to her home last Saturday and shot her son, Aderrien, in the chest.
The woman pointed to CNN what the father of another of his children came home “angry” around 4:00 a.m., so he asked the 11-year-old boy to call the police.
After attending the procedure, Murry assured that the uniformed “He had his gun drawn at the front door and asked those inside the house to come out.”
As Aderrien turned the corner of a hallway to leave the house, police officer Greg Capers shot him for reasons under investigation.
“Once he got out of the corner, they shot him. The same policeman who told him to get out of the house. (Aderrien) did it and they shot him.”argued his mother.
“Why did you shoot me? What did I do wrong?”the minor would have continued to ask himself when he found himself injured.
According to the woman, the shooting occurred within what appeared to be “a minute or two” after the officer asked those in the home to leave.
Two other children, including Murry’s daughter and her 2-year-old nephew, were also at the home at the time of the events.
