Today, December 29, the theater and film actor Vsevolod Abdulov would have turned 80 years old. He left very early, at the age of 59, a seriously ill and tired man. Despite the talent (representative of the acting dynasty), good looks and the best theatrical education, Abdulov did not take the place in art that he could.

The actor is called the “shadow” of his closest friend Vladimir Vysotsky. From a young age, Abdulov served Vysotsky as Sancha Panso – Don Quixote. The actor’s daughter Yulia Abdulova believes that “with the death of Vysotsky, he lost interest in life and meaning.” But he lived for 22 years, drowning out pain and emptiness with alcohol. And he drank in a very peculiar way. Actress Tatyana Bronzova spoke in an interview about the “eccentricities” of her husband’s friend and drinking buddy Boris Shcherbakov:
– He is walking along Seva Street with a string bag in which there is a lot of milk. I asked him: “Now you are drinking milk, well done!”. To which Seva replied: “If you drink vodka with milk, then everything will be fine.” The fact is that in one period he and my Borya drank a lot. Of course, I was unhappy with this. Fortunately, Boris Shcherbakov managed to get rid of this addiction, but Seva, alas, failed, – says Tatyana Bronzova.
Vsevolod Abdulov drank not only out of habit, not only because of the inability to stop, but also because of unhappy love. Boris Shcherbakov named the woman who made Vladimir Vysotsky’s closest friend unhappy:
– Seva loved one woman all his life – actress Irina Miroshnichenko. As I saw her at the Moscow Art Theater School, where they studied together – only at different courses, I fell in love with her for life, – said Boris Shcherbakov.
Irina Miroshnichenko at the time of her acquaintance with Vsevolod Abdulov was married to the famous playwright Mikhail Shatrov. In the theatrical world, everyone knows that Miroshnichenko married Shatrov because of the calculation. And I fell in love with Vsevolod Abdulov. Miroshnichenko herself does not deny this feeling:
Yes, I was in love. It was impossible not to fall in love with Seva. He is the most romantic of all the men I have met,” comments Irina Miroshnichenko.
After a divorce from Shatrov, Irina Miroshnichenko and Vsevolod Abdulov tried to live together. But Vladimir Vysotsky stood between them, without whom Abdulov could not live. Irina Miroshnichenko is not one of those women who will share her beloved with someone else, even with her best friend.
People’s Artist of Russia, husband and partner of Vladimir Vysotsky Larisa Luzhina recently revealed the secret of the dedication of the song “Crystal House on the Mountain”:
– Everyone thinks that Vysotsky dedicated this song to Marina Vladi. In fact, he wrote it at the request of Vsevolod Abdulov for Irina Miroshnichenko. Seva asked a friend to write such a song to conquer Miroshnichenko.
After breaking up with Irina Miroshnichenko (she soon married another), Vsevolod Abdulov flaunted love victories. He said that “he had 13 wives.” He changed women like gloves. The last wife is Olga Sviridova, a waitress from a cafe, who twisted a famous artist for the sake of an apartment and other benefits. At least, this is what Abdulov’s friend, actor Valentin Smirnitsky, thinks.
Vsevolod Abdulov’s voice is spoken by the favorite characters of foreign films – Albus Dumbledore (“Harry Potter”), Barliman (“The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the Ring”), Abraham Van Helsing (“Dracula 2000”) and many others.
