Beirut: 16 people, including a child, died when a building collapsed in Syria’s northern city of Aleppo. Four people were injured. Local media reported that a five-storey building in Sheikh Maqsood area, where around 30 people live, collapsed early on Sunday.
The foundation of the building collapsed due to water leakage. Once a commercial center, Aleppo is Syria’s largest city. Many buildings in Aleppo have been destroyed or damaged during the 11-year conflict.
