17-year-old girl’s complaint that IPL player raped her; Police registered a case IPL star accused of rape of minor girl

New Delhi: A 17-year-old girl filed a rape complaint against Delhi Capitals player Sandeep Lamichhan in the Indian Premier League. The police have registered a case against Sandeep, who is also the captain of Nepal’s national cricket team, for raping a minor girl.

Leg-spinner Sandeep is currently playing in the West Indies in the Caribbean Premier League. A 17-year-old native of Kathmandu has filed a complaint against the actress for raping her twice. The news agency reported that the police have started an investigation.

The girl said in the complaint that she was a fan of the actor. He used to talk to the star through WhatsApp and Snapchat. It was Sandeep who first told the girl that he wanted to meet. The actor said that he would travel to Bhaktapur on the eve of the Nepal cricket team’s departure for the Kenyan tour on September 22. The girl agreed.

As the hostel where the girl was staying closed at 8 pm, she stayed in a hotel room in Pingalasthan, Kathmandu, as she was late to return. The complaint is that he was raped twice by giving intoxicants here.

Sandeep Lamichane has taken 13 wickets in nine IPL matches in 2018 and 2019 seasons. He has taken 136 wickets in 136 T20 matches in various leagues at an average of 17.76. He took 85 wickets in 44 matches for Nepal.
