The General Election COMMISSION (KPU) revealed data regarding the number of general election (election) officials who died or experienced work accidents or illness. The 2024 election officials who died and were ill consisted of sub-district election committee members (PPK), members of the voting committee (PPS), and members of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS).
“The total number of ad hoc bodies in the form of members of the sub-district election committee (PPK), members of the voting committee (PPS), and members of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) who died was 181 people, and 4,770 people who experienced work accidents or illness,” said the Chairman. In detail, the number of PPK who died was 6 people, PPS 23 people, and KPPS 152 people. Meanwhile, 166 PPKs had work accidents or illnesses, 783 PPSs, and 3,821 KPPSs.
“The data was taken from 14 to 24 February 2024. We pray that friends and relatives of the adhoc body who died will be given khusnul khatimah and the sick will recover quickly,” said Hasyim.
The KPU has also paid compensation to 114 adhoc body members who died. Meanwhile, for those who are sick or have work accidents, his party has provided compensation to 374 PPK, PPS and KPPS members.
