ANALYSIS – Stellantis, Publicis, Accor, Orpea… Which companies benefited the most from the courses during the year? On the contrary, which ones suffer the most?

The year 2023 ended in style on the Paris Stock Exchange. Its flagship index, the CAC 40, closed on Wednesday at 7,571.82 points, a stone’s throw from its historic record (7596.91 points), reached on December 15. In one year, the CAC 40 appreciated by 17%. A contrast with 2022 (-8.5%), marked by the war in Ukraine, inflation, the energy crisis and rising interest rates. The movement was general: the EuroStoxx 50 gained 19.5% in one year and the German Dax, 20%. In the United States, the Nasdaq even jumped 44% in one year and the S&P 500 index by 25%.
