The BetPlay 2023-II League is approaching its end and there is very little left to know the two teams that will fight for the title of this second semester, but while it is announced who will play those last two games, Dimayor began to announce details regarding what the 2024 Colombian soccer calendar will be.

The president of Dimayor, Fernando Jaramillo, assured in ‘AS’ that they have already begun to structure what the 2024 League will be and in principle, they are planning to start on January 28.

However, he also provided news regarding what the tournament will be like and although he did not confirm that they have not defined the format, he did assure that returning to the playoffs is not ruled out, since there will be Copa América in the United States and the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

“What will prevail is the logic of maintaining two championships, one in the first semester and another in the second semester, with some variations due to the sports calendar that we have next year. There are many events that crowd the use of the stadium and I hope that we do not have other concerts and that makes the calendar very difficult. We are going to propose playoffs in both semesters,” Jaramillo mentioned.

For now, we will have to wait for the championship to end and in the next Dimayor Assembly, what the 2024 championship will be will be defined and whether this format that has not been used since the 2019 season is finally approved.
