MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomores Mia Cheatwood and Abigail Sullivan of the West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving team finished competition at the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Georgia.

“It was a nice day for the Mountaineers,” head coach Vic Riggs said. “Mia had her best prelim swim of the season and Abie dove well in her first tower event at the NCAA championships. I’m proud of these ladies and how they represented WVU.”

Cheatwood had a strong swim in the 200 breaststroke event, placing 30th with a final time of 2:09.71.

Sullivan finished with a total score of 181.70 in the platform event.

Cheatwood set a program record in the 100 breaststroke on Friday, March 22, with a final time of 59.73.
