From January 30 to 31, during the 2024 World Digital Education Conference, Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng met with Montenegro’s Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Stoyanovic, Mongolia’s Minister of Education and Science Enkh Amulgolan, Kyrgyzstan Minister of Education and Science Kentilbayeva and other foreign guests, as well as Vice Minister of Education and Director of the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO Chen Jie met with Miculescu, President of the 42nd General Conference of UNESCO, to discuss further deepening cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The above-mentioned countries and international organizations cooperated and exchanged.

When meeting with Stojanovic, Huai Jinpeng said that China is willing to work with Montenegro to further deepen cooperation in higher education and vocational education, language and culture, digital education, and youth exchanges, to help the long-term development of China-Black relations and better benefit both countries. When meeting with Enkh Amulgolan, he pointed out that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, as well as the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s visit to Mongolia and the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. He hopes that both sides will comprehensively strengthen high-quality educational cooperation and promote China-Mongolia friendship. The relationship is stable and long-term; when meeting with Kentilbayeva, she said that China is willing to work with Kyrgyzstan, guided by the consensus reached by the two heads of state, to strengthen mutual learning, deepen educational exchanges and cooperation, and enrich the connotation of all-round cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan. After the meeting, Huai Jinpeng and Stoyanovic signed a new round of China-Mongolia education cooperation agreement and an agreement on mutual recognition of academic degrees and degrees, and signed a new round of China-Mongolia mutual recognition agreement on academic degrees and degrees with Enkh Amulgolan.

When meeting with Miculescu, Chen Jie spoke positively of the pragmatic cooperation carried out by both parties in the field of education, especially in the field of education digitization in recent years, and appreciated his leadership in achieving a complete success in the 42nd UNESCO General Conference. He said that China will continue to cooperate with UNESCO. Cooperate closely with UNESCO and support UNESCO in playing an important role.
