This week, the Mouscron police zone participated in a bus control operation on the Mouscron-Tournai (1 and 2) and MWR (Mouscron-Wattrelos-Roubaix) lines. In total, a dozen police officers, and as many TEC and Ilévia controllers, were mobilized. Two federal police dog handlers supported this device.
During the operation, 21 bus (9 MWR and 12 lines 1 and 2) and 401 users have been checked. In total, 24 statements of offense were drawn up by the public transport services.
At the police level, several identity checks were carried out following markings with STUP dogs (10 in total), 3 reports (seizure of narcotics) were drawn up and 1 individual was administratively arrested (illegal access to the territory ).
As we know, the Belgian and French police services, and more specifically here in Mouscron and Hauts de France, can count on effective collaboration at the level of the border zone.
