Valletta: 27 people found to be living illegally in Malta are being deported. They were arrested earlier. The police said that they were taken to the General Headquarters in Floriana and the process of deportation started. Officers from the Detention Service are also assisting the police.
They were nabbed during a raid across Marsa by the Immigration Squad and the Marsa Community Police team. Most of the inspections took place in Triq es-Serkin, Triq il-Gerejja and Triq it-Tigrija. Indians are among those arrested.
