The Ramenai in the Bohemian Forest

A small, car-free forest hut village in the middle of tall trees and surrounded by nothing but peace and relaxation – sounds romantic? It is! In the Ramenai in Ulrichsberg, Upper Austria, there are a total of nine huts, which are sufficiently spaced from each other, in an idyllic clearing.

The huts of different sizes are all equipped with natural materials. Pictures and stories from former forest workers served as templates. This resulted in huts that correspond to tradition and life in the Bohemian Forest. All of the small forest houses have a terrace where you can breathe in the fresh forest air in the morning and have their own panoramic saunas with a view of the beautiful sea of leaves.

You can have a really nice and romantic time here, spend endless hours walking in the forest and snuggle up by the fireplace in the evening. You have to take care of yourself in the ramenai; a fully equipped kitchen and a lovingly put together “Waldler package” are available to you. The package is packed with all sorts of goodies for your first breakfast, such as homemade jams and muesli, organic spreads, honey from the beekeeper around the corner, fresh bread, eggs from the farmer and organic fruit and vegetables.

If you’re looking for a little more action, you can experience the Bohemian Forest from a completely new perspective in the rope park with eight courses at a height of up to 12 meters. Or you can go hiking, cross-country skiing, skiing or climbing – the area really has a lot to offer. By the way: If you want to be particularly cozy, you can book the tree bed high up in the treetops and be completely undisturbed and in the middle of nature.
