Le Chant sur la Lowé, the speaker will tell us, was above all born of the shared passion of two sisters for Gabonese music and traditions. It is Sophie and Yveline Damasdaughters of a senior Gabonese state official, author and composer of the national anthem “Concord“.

The vocal group on the Lowé is made up of about fifty choristers and supervisors, all volunteers who are passionate about music. There are all socio-professional categories such as students, pupils, retirees, doctors, teachers, the unemployed…

The vocation of the choir is to participate in the development of the Gabonese musical heritage through the interpretations of Gabonese songs in all languages.

Listen to the song on the Lowésay the officials, it’s taking part in a real musical journey through Gabon. The concert given on July 8 was rich in emotion for the spectators who came for the occasion.I liked and seeing dad Akéndéngué at this cultural meeting, there is nothing much more. I am proud of my country’s culture, its diversity “confesses a happy spectator.

The primary objective of the choir remains there valorization of the Gabonese cultural heritage. The song on the Lowé adapts its strategies by taking into account on the one hand its environment, but also all of its targets (men and women of all ages…).
