A car driver raced on Wednesday at 225 km/h along the Westautobahn (A1) near Zeillern (Amstetten district) towards Vienna. A civilian patrol stopped the vehicle nearby. The 41-year-old driver from the Baden district had his driver’s license temporarily confiscated on the spot.
He will be reported to the Amstetten district administration, the Lower Austria State Police Directorate reported in a broadcast on Thursday.
