Two childhood friends, Axel Grimard, 20 years old, and Hugo Crépin, 21 years old, will head to Morocco to participate in the 4L Trophy 2025 humanitarian raid. Since their trip to Finnish Lapland, the two Civracais have only thought about achieving a new challenge. “For us, it’s the rally-raid to experience with friends aboard a 4L, whose objective is also humanitarian, supportive and eco-citizen. A unique and enriching experience,” confide Axel and Hugo.
Not mechanics
Axel discovered this rally in 2017 “thanks to two YouTubers”. “Since then, I have wanted to take part in this adventure. I then proposed the event to Hugo. » Who answers: “I quickly got hooked because, beyond the race, it’s also getting out of my comfort zone that drives me. » The registration is validated, the “Les Jurassic Potes” association is created and the Renault 4L is purchased in Vendée.
No major work is expected on the vehicle side, which has a previous participation in the 4L Trophy. The two boys are not mechanics: “We have no mechanical training, but the 4L is quite simple to repair because it does not have all the technology of current cars. We should be able to get through it, especially since its engine runs like clockwork.”
To achieve their objective, they are looking for contributing partners in kind (equipment or spare mechanical parts) and financial sponsors. Axel and Hugo will also appeal to people’s generosity during various meetings planned for the coming weeks: for this adventure they must collect school and sports supplies, medical equipment and non-perishable foods intended for poor children in Morocco. “Our ambition is to complete the challenge,” they conclude in agreement.
