Monday at 5:05 p.m., a mini-ramming between 5 cars occurred in the North tunnel behind Namur station.
Vehicles traveling in the direction of Bomel collided, creating major traffic jams. Firefighters from the NAGE area of the Namur substation, under the command of Captain Olivier Gilson, went to the scene with a pumper, a beaconing vehicle and three ambulances as well as the Namur PIT (Paramedical intervention team). In total, five injuries without too much seriousness are to be deplored. These were transported to various hospitals in Namur.
The Namur police went to the scene for the findings. The tunnel was closed during the intervention, which caused major traffic jams in Namur until the evening flow. sg
