5 Pakistanis sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, 5 criminals were sentenced to death for killing a company guard.

According to Arab media, these criminals entered a company with the intention of robbery and tied two guards with a rope and tortured them, one of whom was killed. The slain guard belonged to Bangladesh.

The Saudi police arrested 5 people for this horrific murder, who were sentenced to death by the competent court after a thorough and transparent investigation.

This sentence was later upheld by the Court of Appeal and then the Supreme Court. The execution of the death penalty was approved by the royal order, which executed the criminals in the city of Makkah.

It should be noted that at the beginning of this year, four Ethiopian citizens were also sentenced to death for the murder of a Sudanese citizen. Similarly, in December 2023, 2 Bangladeshis were sentenced to death for killing an Indian citizen.

In Saudi Arabia, murder, drug trafficking and terrorism are punishable by death, for which the perpetrators are usually beheaded. Saudi Arabia has the highest death penalty after China and Iran.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly criticized Saudi Arabia’s judicial system for allegedly unfair trials and executions, to which the Saudi government says all cases are dealt with in a transparent and fair trial in accordance with the law.
