The program Solidarity income arose as financial aid to families in Colombia who were harmed by the Covid-19 pandemic. It was created by the government of former President Iván Duque and currently reaches 3 million to 4 million 85 thousand beneficiary households. And it is that, a few days ago, the government of the president Gustavo Petro announced that the bond will have some changes.
As reported by the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, the mothers who are heads of household will be the beneficiaries who will receive financial aid, at least until December 31. And it is that, while the country was in a coronavirus health emergency, more than four million homes nationwide were subsidized by this measure to mitigate the impact caused by the pandemic on Colombian families.
SOLIDARITY INCOME: REQUIREMENTS AND PAYMENT DAYS
For the payments that correspond to the cycles 32 and 33 of the months of November and December, the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS) has suggested that the beneficiaries of the program be attentive to the official publications on the fixed dates of the payments.

As recalled, in past cycles, households that have a bank account receive the money through a bank account, therefore they are the first to receive it. Therefore, it is estimated that the payment will take place between November 7 and 14.
It is important to note that to be part of the Solidarity Income program it is not necessary to register or hire an intermediary since the entire process is done by updating the Sisbén IV survey. The program prioritizes families registered in extreme poverty in Sisbén IV of group A.
MODIFICATIONS IN SOLIDARITY INCOME
Despite the fact that the last payments of the Colombian government bond were made in October, the aid will continue until December. According to what was announced by the president of Colombia, the amount to be delivered will go from $160,000 to $500,000. Likewise, the program will be in force until December 31, 2022, as indicated by Law 2155 on social investment, since the measure was planned to calm the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In any case, the Vice Minister of Finance, Diego Guevara, pointed out that, “there is one billion pesos for the program to fight hunger and additionally in the Treasury budget we have reserved four billion pesos to guarantee the transfer programs that are going to replace Solidarity Income”.
