To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the launch of the AMG sports division, Mercedes has announced a special equipment package for its CLA and A-Class compact models.
The new versions are distinguished by the AMG-specific paint chips, with metallic white or metallic black, 19-inch titanium wheels, chrome fuel tank caps with AMG lettering, and special cockpit decorations.
The AMG Dynamic Package includes the front apron with large diffuser and the massive AMG spoiler at the rear, all painted in high-gloss black.
The AMG Night Package and AMG Night Package II add new elements in the same colour; The front diffuser, air vents and side sills are in high-gloss black, with black chrome exhaust outlets and tinted windows.
The black and red contrast characterizes the interior of the Edition 55 models; The AMG seats are upholstered in red and black double leather, the sports steering wheel is decorated with the Edition 55 badge, the AMG door sills are illuminated in red, black floor mats with red contrast stitching and “Edition 55” lettering are woven in red.
Hybrid AMG
Mercedes is preparing to launch its hybrid AMG GT4 on the market this summer, with a starting price of 197,600 euros.
The German company explained that its four-door hybrid AMG GT4 car produces 620 kW / 843 hp, while the maximum torque is 1400 Nm. The average fuel consumption of the car is about 7.9 liters / 100 km.
Thanks to this force, the car accelerates from stability to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds, while its top speed stands at the threshold of 316 km / h.
The electric motor with a power of 150 kW / 205 hp depends on a 6.1 kWh battery, with which the car has a driving range of 12 km.
Last March, the Mercedes brand announced a bold decision, expressing its confidence in the self-driving systems that it plans to introduce in the future in its modern car.
