There was a time when people used to send Eid Mubarak by buying Eid cards from big chows and expressing their heartfelt feelings. Buying and choosing Eid cards was also included in Eid preparations.
Girls used to gift bangles and jewelery etc. along with Eid cards to their friends, while boys used to gift Eid cards along with handkerchiefs, watches and other accessories to their friends.
It used to be an important tradition to congratulate everyone, be it relatives or friends, with an Eid card. But now this tradition has almost disappeared. With the advent and popularity of social media, the trick of conveying your love and sincerity to your lover through Eid cards has become a thing of the past.
Now people, especially the young generation, find it enough to express their feelings with simple words.
