They were solemnly sworn in at the Brazzaville Court of Appeal on Friday November 26, 2021, a ceremony chaired by Christian Oba, first president of this institution. The solemn swearing-in hearing, chaired by the first president of the Court of Appeal of Brazzaville, Christian Oba, took place on November 26 at the public prosecutor’s office, in the presence of the head of government, Anatole Collinet Makosso, and several professionals by right. A decisive phase which will open the door to the profession of magistrate for them. “I swear to scrupulously maintain professional secrecy and to conduct myself at all times as a worthy and loyal auditor of justice”. This sentence was said 67 times last Friday by the new justice auditors. They were sworn in at the Brazzaville Court of Appeal. It must be said that although they have taken an oath, these young people are not yet considered as magistrates in the true sense of the term. They will therefore have to be assigned to courts and tribunals to undergo an impregnation course with legal professionals. It is throughout their internship that they will be fascinated by the profession of magistrate and will acquire experience in the matter. “I would like to point out to you that you are justice auditors, but you are not magistrates yet. There is often a great temptation to confuse one of the two functions. Auditors of justice that you are, you are still apprentices ”, underlined the president of the Court of Appeal, Christian Oba.
