ACTRESS and model Arumi Bachsin shared stories related to activities carried out to celebrate Idul Fitri 1445 H. Emil Dardak’s wife admitted that this year’s Eid moment was quite special for her because 8 years ago, she was able to return home to Jakarta.

“Finally we can go home after not going home for so long, it’s been 8 years since we haven’t been able to go home for Eid,” said Arumi as reported by her personal YouTube in Jakarta, Thursday (10/4).

Arumi revealed that although she often visited Jakarta several times for work, she could only realize the moment of gathering with her extended family during Eid al-Fitr this year.

“It’s true that I often go to Jakarta for work, but for family gatherings in Jakarta during Eid al-Fitr, I’ve never been able to, only this year I can (going home for Eid),” said the 30-year-old woman.

This woman of Palembang, German and Dutch heritage said that for the past few years, she and her family have always celebrated Eid al-Fitr in her husband’s hometown in Trenggalek, East Java.

“Everyone used to go to Trenggalek, because my grandfather was still there. “But since he died in 2017, then from 2018 to 2023 we didn’t go home,” he said.

Even though she was quite enthusiastic about going home, Arumi had to be willing to pack her own things. The reason is, Arumi’s household assistant (ART) has also returned to their respective hometowns. Because of this, like it or not, the wife of the former Deputy Governor of East Java has to take care of her own home and children.

“Yes, you have to pack yourself with your husband and children. You have to prepare more for going home, starting from packing saris and mental preparation because this year is the first year that Miss (ART) has returned home. “It’s different from last year, negotiating who goes home first,” said Arumi.

Bringing the children home for Eid al-Fitr can be a challenge for parents like Arumi, especially because the children are still small. Children also tend to get bored easily, tire easily, and are unpredictable.

While traveling home, the mother of three children admitted that she had to pay more attention and supervise her youngest child, who is currently 3 years old. Arumi said she had to make her youngest feel comfortable during the homecoming trip.

“He’s only 3 years old so his communication isn’t as smooth as his older siblings. If his older siblings want to go to the toilet or can already talk. “Well, his little brother cries first when he wants something, he will only say it when he is asked,” he said.

To get around this, Arumi prepared mentally and brought various important necessities to ensure the children were comfortable during the trip. Apart from that, pack the items you need while at your destination.

“I have to bring various snacks and toys that my youngest likes to accompany his musical journey, such as toys, cards and books that he likes. The point is that his concentration is diverted and his stomach must not be empty,” he said. (Z-3)
