According to police reports on Friday, a 21-year-old was speeding along at 152 km/h on the L56 in Allentsteig (Zwettl district) at a maximum speed of 70 km/h. A 30-year-old in Karlstift in the municipality of Bad Großpertholz (Gmünd district) had 119 km/h on his speedometer; the maximum permitted speed here was 50 km/h.
The 21-year-old man from the Zwettl district had his driver’s license temporarily confiscated. The Waldviertler will also be reported to the Zwettl district administration. A provisional security deposit was required from the 30-year-old speedster from the Czech Republic who was caught in the Gmünd district. In this case, too, a report will be sent to the district administration.
