The flagship annual event of Insurance in Africa takes place this year in Casablanca on March 23 and 24, 2022. Organized by the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), this 8th edition which is held under a hybrid format combining face-to-face and distance learning with regard to the evolution of the health situation, will bring together more than thirty renowned world experts around the theme: Sustainable insurance & Expansion of health coverage.

On the menu of this scientific event: a plenary, 7 panels led by players in the transformation of the sector on the challenges to be met by insurance professionals in the current global situation and on the future of insurance in Africa and 6 Keynote speakers who will speak on topical issues.

Renowned Keynote speakers include Don FORGERON, President of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA), Florence LUSTMAN, President of France Assureurs, Susan NEELY, President & CEO of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), Petra HIELKEMA , President of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), Philippe DESSERTINE, Economist, Academic and Director of the Institute of High Finance in Paris and Michaela KOLLER, Managing Director of Insurance Europe.

The panels will focus on various topics such as the contribution of the insurance industry to the sustainability of global economies, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues in terms of underwriting and investment, major trends related to innovation in health insurance and the place of insurers in universal health coverage, the contribution of affinity insurance in the expansion of health coverage, etc. as well as other subjects closely related to the development of insurance in Africa.
