9,030 TNI-Polri Personnel Secure Pope Francis’ Visit

JOINT TNI-Polri officers held a roll call to secure the visit of the World Catholic Church Leader, Pope Francis and the International Sustainability Forum (ISF), on Monday (2/9). The roll call was held at the TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta.

“In the not too distant future, we will be carrying out a major event, all of which will be held in Jakarta,” said the Commander of the Joint Integrated Security Command, Vice Admiral Agus Hariadi.

As for the troops from the TNI that were deployed, there were 4,300 personnel, while from the Polri there were 4,730 personnel. “We involve starting from preemptive, yes, deployed in the preemptive Task Force, to anti-terrorism too, we involve all,” continued the Commander of the Brimob Corps of the National Police, Commissioner General Imam Widodo.

Pope Francis’ visit will be held on September 3-6, 2024. The agenda will start from state activities received directly by President Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, to the Grand Mass at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Central Jakarta, on Thursday (5/9). Meanwhile, the ISF 2024 activities will take place on September 5-6, 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Central Jakarta. (J-2)
