Auto parts supplier Bosch has taken over British start-up Five, which designs software for self-driving cars. Some 140 people work in this company, which is headquartered in Cambridge.
Bosch boss Markus Heyn believes that autonomous driving will make traffic even safer. “That’s why we want to continue to develop software with Five and provide our customers with ‘made in Europe’ technology.”
The Stuttgart company describes itself as one of the world leaders in driver assistance.
