Retail sales of consumer goods in China rose 3.3 percent year on year in the first quarter of this year, data released by the State Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed on Monday. .
The country’s consumer goods retail sales reached about 10.87 trillion yuan (about 1.7 trillion U.S. dollars) during this period, according to NBS data.
In March, retail sales fell 3.5% year-on-year.
