Miles of traffic jams: GTI meeting escalates: Velden closed, large-scale police operation

The beautiful weather attracted thousands of GTI and tuning fans to Carinthia on Saturday. As early as midday, there were kilometers of traffic jams around Lake Faaker See, in Velden, on the road to Pyramidenkogel and in Rosental. Nothing worked during the day in Egg am Faaker See, and in the evening Velden stood still. The town center had to be closed to all traffic in order to at least allow emergency services to get through in an emergency.
