Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Ekhbariya channel published a video clip of the completion of the construction work of the runway of the Red Sea International Airport.
The Red Sea International Airport is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023, with an inaugural flight planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.
The airport includes an isolated parking lot for emergency vehicles, as well as a waiting area for aircraft, which includes 12 seaplane platforms, 12 business aircraft platforms, and 3 completed helipads.
The ground balancing works included 11 million cubic meters, as well as the main runway with a length of 3.7 km and a runway designated for seaplanes with a length of 525 m “42 meters wide”.
