Despite all the sophistication that iPhone photo modules can offer in terms of zoom and wide-angle, using the built-in self-timer is still the most effective way to compose a nice group photo or portrait.
As on Android, the iOS photo application offers a self-timer. It is found in particular on the iPhone 13 mini which, although being the most compact of the range, benefits from the main options offered by iOS.
Several important details:
- The self-timer works with the rear and front camera of the iPhone;
- It can only be used to take photos (not for videos therefore);
- The self-timer can be used in classic photo, portrait and Live Photos mode.
Be careful, once activated, the self-timer remains active, even if you close and restart the photo application. You have to repeat the same sequence to deactivate it.
