During renovation work, the large dome of the Jami Mosque in northern Jakarta, Indonesia caught fire and collapsed. No one was injured in the incident, according to Jakarta Globe with reference to the police.
The mosque is located in a complex of buildings belonging to the Islamic Center of Jakarta, a think tank for the study of Islam. The cause of the incident is being investigated, and four employees of the contractor company, which was instructed to repair the mosque, have been questioned.
