News anchor Fatma Taspinar (42) is engaged to corona expert and intensivist Geert Meyfroidt (52)? It was known that the two have been in a relationship since 2021, but now Taspinar has revealed that they are now engaged.
In Celebrity MasterChef Vlaanderen on Play4, Taspinar spoke several times about “my husband”, Geert, on Wednesday evening. For example, the news anchor said that she chose a simple dish that her husband always makes, after lessons from a chef in Italy.

While cooking, Taspinar later dropped her three rings. “What is that? Oh, those are my rings, fuck! My engagement ring was on the floor.”
She wasn’t concerned about what her husband would think about her lack of success in preparing his pasta. “I’m not risking my marriage. I think he’ll be happy that I made that anyway.”

Taspinar and Professor Meyfroidt, who has three adult children, met in the VRT news studio during the corona crisis in 2021. The journalist and the intensivist who also became The Smartest Person that year preferred not to delve too deeply into their relationship because it “isn’t all that interesting”. In the meantime it appears that they are engaged.
