French Montana celebrated Moroccan qualification in New York!

It’s not just in France that the Moroccan community partied to celebrate Morocco’s historic qualification for the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup. The Moroccan selection made history on Saturday December 10 by beating Portugal and becoming the first African country to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup and it was the entire diaspora who rejoiced in this success, to the United States. French Montana, who was born and raised in Casablanca, took to Instagram immediately after the win to celebrate his compatriots. Above all, he invited his fans to come party with him, giving an address on New York’s 47th Street, in Times Square.

In a video that circulated on Twitter, the rapper can be seen waving a Moroccan flag and celebrating the victory with his compatriots exiled in the United States.

According TMZ, French Montana was joined by a thousand people who celebrated, together, the historic qualification of the Moroccan national team. The rapper kept the party going all night long, even recruiting Bobby Shmurda who joined in the festivities and presented him with an Atlas Lions jersey. The latter will face the French team in the semi-finals of the World Cup on Wednesday 14 December.
