Investigations into possible attempted murder

On the night of Saturday, a 21-year-old is said to have choked his wife several times in Wels. The man was arrested.
“A 21-year-old man from Wels is accused of grabbing his wife of the same age in Wels near the Mühlbach on December 31, 2022 at around 2:00 a.m. during an argument with both hands on the neck and choking him for several seconds The suspect left the victim of her own accord. According to the woman, she wanted to flee, after which her husband ran after her, grabbed her and choked her again with both hands. After the 21-year-old escaped, he was finally located at his home address and local police forces accompanied him Support of the Cobra task force. The suspect was taken to the Wels prison by order of the Wels public prosecutor’s office. The woman was released to home care after outpatient treatment in the Wels hospital. Further investigations are being conducted,” reports the police.
