With Peter Westenthaler as the new board member sent by the FPÖ, a new tone has emerged in the highest ORF committee. Lothar Lockl now observes that “the ORF is being attacked, put down and bad-mouthed,” as well as “blanket defamation of the ORF and denigration of employees.” The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, sent by the Greens, basically assumes in the STANDARD interview: “This gives the impression that it is actually regarding breaking up the ORF.” At the next meeting in June it will be “clarified” that foundation boards have a responsibility and duty of care towards the ORF.
