Text report of the first ever match of the Ukrainian football team at the Olympic Games.

On Wednesday, July 24, national team of Ukraine will play against teams of Iraq in the match of the first round football tournament at the 2024 Olympics.
The match will take place in Lyon at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais stadium. The meeting will start at 20:00 Kyiv time.
For our football team, this will be the first ever match at the Olympic Games. The right to perform at the 2024 Olympics “blue-yellow” received thanks to the fact that the youth national team of Ukraine (U-21) reached the semifinals of Euro-2023.
In the other match of the first round of Group B, Argentina are in the final seconds of stoppage time broke a tie against Morocco (2:2).
After the match against Iraq, the Ukrainians will play Morocco on July 27 in Saint-Etienne. Ruslan Rotan’s wards will complete the group round on July 30 with a match in Lyon against the Argentina national team.
The two best teams from each quartet will advance to the playoffs. If the “blue and yellow” can make it to the quarterfinals, they will compete there with the representative of group A (France, USA, Guinea, New Zealand).
