Sony’s new XR HMD headset receives Bluetooth SIG certification

A Sony is preparing to launch a new mixed reality headset on the market. As reported by the portal MySmartPricewe can now have access to some features of the XR HMDas it has received a new certification and appeared on the Bluetooth SIG website. The specifications, however, are still a mystery.

The equipment was registered with the identification number SRH-S1. Although we don’t know much about its technical specifications, the brand itself recently confirmed that it is a device with OLED microdisplays capable of displaying content in 4K resolution.

As for the target audience, the company should launch the headset with a focus on content creators who will use the item and its 3D production tools. Inside, the model should be launched with the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform. For those who don’t know, it is the latest chip for devices in this category presented by Qualcomm.
