Time Bomb Comics is making headlines with the launch of two new creator-led comic imprints: ‘WestWords’ and ‘Comic Scene’.This strategic move aims to provide greater recognition for creators and significantly widen Time Bomb’s array of titles.
‘WestWords’: A Universe by Dave West
The ‘WestWords’ imprint will primarily showcase the work of Dave West, celebrated for his WesterNoir universe. A blend of horror and weird west elements, WesterNoir began as a western horror story with artist Gary Crutchley. The saga of Josiah Black will unfold across five original graphic novels.
Further stories within the WesterNoir setting are also featured in Time Bomb’s anthology comic, Quantum. In fact,Quantum No. 10, released earlier in 2025, included a crossover between WesterNoir and John Higgins’s iconic Razorjack series.
Beyond WesterNoir, Dave West plans to publish more of his steampunk creation, Stephenson’s Robot, and the urban fantasy series Kia Wordsmith under the westwords banner.

“with the exception of Major Rakhana that I write for Quantum, anything new I create will now be published first under the ‘Comic Scene’ imprint, but it will also showcase the work of other creators,” Steve Tanner explained.
