A 51-year-old Anderlechtois dies in an accident in the Brussels ring

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning around 3:10 a.m. on the outer Brussels ring at the Beersel access and exit ramps. The 50-year-old found himself, for no apparent reason, in the grass to the left of the roadway and then was catapulted to the other side, according to surveillance images and the traffic expert’s report. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The man was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The prosecution presumes that he fell asleep at the wheel.
