Lee Min-seok, Seoul Metropolitan Council Member <사진=서울시의회> In the future, a basis for cost support will be prepared to create various public infrastructure facilities such as parking lots in old low-rise residential areas near the housing redevelopment project site.

Lee Min-seok (People’s Power, Mapo 1), a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council’s Housing Space Committee, said, “Part of the Seoul City Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Ordinance that added plazas, public spaces, and public parking lots to the ‘subsidies for maintenance infrastructure costs for housing redevelopment projects’ in Seoul. It was revealed that the revised ordinance (alternative)’ passed the deliberation of the City Council Housing Space Committee yesterday (3rd).

Rep. Lee said, “The current ordinance includes only ‘city planning facility roads of 8 meters or more, small parks, children’s parks and green areas’, etc. as targets for maintenance infrastructure installation cost support. We made it possible to secure the infrastructure that suits the situation,” he explained.

This amendment also includes a plan to improve the system for managing the dissolution and liquidation of the maintenance association.

The head of the association or the liquidator was required to submit the cooperative dissolution/liquidation plan and implementation data to the public applicant every six months, and the head of the district had to report it to the mayor within 7 days of the end of the first and second half of the year.

Rep. Lee said, “Recently, maintenance projects such as Shintong Planning and Moa Town have been activated, so I hope that an environment will be created in which the dissolution and liquidation of the union can be smoothly carried out after the completion of the project.”
