A woman in the United Arab Emirates has filed for divorce against her husband, citing the reason that he “loves her so much” that he helps her with housework and showers her with gifts. She went to the Fujairah Court for a divorce and stated to the court that her husband never argued with her, never yelled at her, and always treated her kindly.
Despite the husband’s strong love for her, the wife says that her life has turned into “hell” because of his cruel treatment, according to what was reported in the Al-Khilj Times newspaper. The wife always complains that her husband shows her the utmost levels of love and kindness.
The wife told the court: “I was shocked by his great love and affection for me, and his insistence on helping me with the household chores without me asking him to do so.”
The wife objected that when she complained about his weight gain, he followed a strict diet, and exercised until he broke his leg, but the angry wife was not happy with that, especially since he showered her with gifts and beautiful words.
And the wife added:
I want even one day to quarrel, but it seems impossible with my romantic husband, he always forgives me, and brings me gifts on a daily basis, I want a real discussion, an argument, and I don’t want a transaction and a life without objection and strife in it
The husband’s response before the court was:
It is not fair to judge marriage in the first year, everyone learns from his mistakes, and I always wish to be a good and perfect husband.
In the end, the court decided to postpone the ruling in the case to give the couple a chance to reconcile.
