Bogandé/Pièla: A cashier suspected of having vanished with nearly 120 million FCFA

Ouagadougou, July 06, 2022 (AIB) – The police in Bogandé (East) have opened an investigation, after the disappearance of a cashier (29 years old) working at the Pièla credit union, who vanished with nearly 120 million FCFA, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, learned the AIB.

Aged 29, the lady would have won exactly 119 million 915 thousand FCFA.

The AIB contacted officials of the Bogandé credit union on Wednesday evening, which includes that of Pièla, but they refused to any comments.

Pièla is a town located about thirty km from Bogandé, in the province of Gnagna, in the Eastern region.

As a reminder, Ecobank, the only bank still in service in Bogandé, has temporarily closed its doors since May 30, 2022, due to the deterioration of the security situation in this part of Burkina Faso.
